Happy Animals. Healthy Soils. Strong Community.

Big Changes Coming at Perrin Farm

  • Dear Friends,

Thank you for your support of our farm. Over the past three years we’ve poured our hearts and souls into a passion- growing ethical meat for our community. We have immensely enjoyed this endeavor, but it is now time for our farm to transition into its next iteration.

It is time for us to change our paradigm. We need to balance our family’s financial, emotional, and physical needs with our agricultural passion and desires. We are in the process of dramatically scaling back our production to focus on what brings us joy and is financially able to sustain itself.  The finances of farming are tough right now and sadly we’ve felt those effects. While we love farming, we haven’t been able to pay ourselves for the work we put in and that’s not sustainable for our family.

Over the next several months we will be winding down our retail sales of meat. Here’s what you can expect over the next few months:

    • We plan to stay at the Capital City Farmer’s Market through the end of the season

    • We will continue our CSA for our annual members through the end of the year

      •  We are accepting fall season CSA signups, however we cannot assure what shares will look like; shares will be dependent on remaining inventory.

    • We will be offering Bulk Box sales this fall to fill your freezer- inventory dependent. We recommend purchasing early for the best selection!

Moving forward, we will continue to raise small quantities of meat and hope to continue to share this meat with some of you. We will be sure to email and let folks know what’s happening on the farm and what/when offerings are available. Please let us know if you’d like to be added to our email list.

Thank you for joining us over these past few years. Farming is a joyful, enlightening and at times challenging adventure. We couldn’t have pursued any of our passion for ag without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we look forward to sharing the next phase of Perrin Farm with you. ❤️
